Dreams

The American dream: in which freedom includes a promise of the possibility of prosperity and success.  This dream is in most peoples heads always dreaming of a better life, a beautiful wife or husband, wonderful kids and mansion on a nice piece of land, cars and toys. This dream may come true for some people.  It might come true by them settle goals working hard a achieving them. They might be born into this dream. But this only happens to a small amount of people in the world. Others just dream about this dream, and live what seems to be there same old boring life. Everyone has a dream, but in order to achieve that dream you have to set goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them, whether your goal is to go to collage to make a trade for yourself and hoping that the trade you pick will make you a lot of money so that you can buy that nice car beautiful mansion, in a big piece of land. In “Of Mice and Men” Lennie and George have this reoccurring dream about a beautiful piece of land.  Some people start off young and achieve this goal. But others work for it later in life, it is never to late to work for your dream. Other people like Curly's wife dream of being star, flashing lights all around,  people asking you for your autograph, being in a 5 star movie or being on that big billboard add. Some dreams like this maybe out of someones reach, which could be dangerous for some people they may get there dreams crushed. This is why its good to always keep you head up and believe in your dreams because you never know when where or what time that dream will come along or when you will achieve it.

Living in the city

This summer was the 3rd summer I spent in Toronto for modeling, this year was different because I was on my own in the big city. At first I was nervous knowing I would have to find ways to get from one place to another using the TTC and not my car. As the days went by in Toronto, I got the hang of taking the street car and the subway most days if it wasn't within walking distance. At first I was living right on Main Street with my mother agent Chantale, Bruce and her son Jaz. Everyday If I had time I would look after Jaz. Bruce and Chantale were always busy, Chantale with her modeling and helping managing her agency, and Bruce with his guitar classes. Bruce taught me how to play a little bit and this was pretty special knowing that he was the guitarist in Black Sabbath! I was part of the family, they took me out to dinner, the movies, BBQS, concerts and fairs. I was being spoiled. They lived in a Victorian style home with three floors, sadly, I got the 3rd floor.  It happened to be the hottest room in the house. Every night it would get up to 27 degrees. I was sweating more sleeping then I did when i worked out. Before I went to bed I would have to check my email to see what Sutherlands (my agency) had in store for me. I learned that this industry was always last minute. Sometimes I would find out at 12 am that i had to wake up at 4 am to go across town to be in a photo shoot then go back for a casting. Time management is everything if you want to impress your clients and when you impress, you get the job which in turn gets you paid. This year I was impressed I got to do my first commercial for “Off The Wall” that aired on MTV and Much Music. I also got to do two more commercials one that was "Transformers" themed where I got to be a blonde version of Megan Fox, “watch out Megan”! The other one was for a shoe company in an old school 50's styled bar. The rest of the trip I did a lot of shoots for magazines and campaigns. I was always busy and on the run. Sometimes I would leave the house at and get home at now that’s a long day of work. Halfway through the month I moved out to a apartment in Summerhill with my actress friend,Claire, and my good modeling friend,Chelsea. We had a blast when we were free which was very rare. That was the busiest and one of the best summers i've ever had. And it paid off big time. I cant wait for this summer! Tokyo, New York and Singapore here I come!
